Vita
Born 1980 in Hamburg (Germany), Boris discovered his deep passion for music very early on. Starting music education at age 6 with piano lessons, he later took classes in composition and ensemble playing. Since then, Boris has never stopped playing, writing and learning music.
In 2007, Boris moved to Freiburg, where he played with many bands and setup a studio space. In Freiburg he also met Tino Gonzales, who helped him to produce his first album and hired him as his keyboard sideman for many gigs.
Besides being a dedicated musician, Boris received a doctorate degree for his work in mobile robotics and artificial intelligence and works as a data scientist and machine learning consultant with his startup company Learning Machines.

- Age 19: Keyboarder and musical director of a music revue musical in Hamburg
- Age 26: Founding the "Boris Lau Quartett", composing a full night's jazz repertoire
- 2011: Cofounding of Freiburg's renown party-band "Randy Club"
- 2012: Composing dance theater "VolXtanz" at the Theater Freiburg
- Since 2012: Tours and concerts with Tino Gonzales (as keyboarder)
- Since 2014: Lauschelieder - Music for kids, two acclaimed albums and live concerts
- Since 2022: Llorna - Electronic live music
Whenever possible, Boris enjoyed opportunities to jam with fascinating musicians like Abi Wallenstein, Anthony Michelli or Roger Cicero.
